Annual Meeting 2008

Mark your calendar for Monday, June 16, at 7:30pm on the third floor of the DC Eagle. It’s SigMa’s Annual Meeting, and all members are encouraged to attend and to vote.

The Annual Meeting is when we review the year just ended at SigMa. We also nominate and elect new board members. Nominations from the floor are welcome and encouraged.

The Board has already made some plans for the year ahead. The Annual Meeting, tho, is a time for members to give us your ideas about the organization and your suggestions for how SigMa can better serve our members and our community.

Currently there are six Board members. Four of those will return for the next year. According to the Bylaws SigMa can have up to eleven Board members. So, we are looking for a few SigMa members to become members of the Board. Five members were nominated at the May Board meeting. If you or someone you know are interested in being nominated for the Board, just Reply to this message. We will put the names on the ballot.
